Yemeni gatherings to support Palestinians [Archives:2002/16/Local News]

A new fund for supporting the Palestinian uprising was established in Taiz last week. Around YR 155 million has been allocated as a donation to the Palestinians. A part from these was collected by the Hayel Saeed Ana’am Group.
The initiative has been taken by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Local Council to support the Palestinians.
The gathering was attended by some of the Palestinian representatives and the Iraqi ambassador.
The Governor of Taiz, stressed that the whole Yemenis will back up their brothers in Palestine.
Dr. Ahmed Hayel Saeed Ana’am, the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry confirmed that the resistance to the Israelis is a legal right and it is a main concern to support the Intifadha.
