Yemeni gunman kills American, Canadian in Yemen [Archives:2003/627/Front Page]

SANAA, March 18 (Yemen Times & Reuters) – The US embassy in Sanaa confirmed today that a Yemeni shot dead an American and a Canadian and wounded a second Canadian employed at a Western oil firm in the Yemeni town of Safer 20 km east of the city of Mareb on Tuesday and then killed himself.

The incident happened hours after US President Bush declared that war could be waged by Wednesday morning.

“We can say that the incident is confirmed and we are working with Washington on a possible press release to be given soon.”” a source at the US embassy said.

Reliable sourced told Yemen Times that the murderer is Naji Ahmed Al-Kumaim from Dhamar
