The Yemeni Society for Consumer Protection, warned consumers against purchasing the 200gram sardine cans under the brand name of “TESHA” after lab tests proved the presence of an unnatural taste and a rotten smell. The cans also appear inflated.
In a similar letter addressed to the Minister of Public Works, they refer to the above-mentioned products as unsuitable for human consumption, and that the products bear the manufacture date 1/2004 and expiration date 6/2004. The Consumer Protection Society urges their withdrawal from the market for the best interests of the consumer.
