Yemeni Volunteers to be sent to Chechnya [Archives:2000/06/Local News]

It is expected that a number of Yemeni volunteers will leave to Chechnya to fight there.
A political local sources have mentioned that those volunteers belong to Aden-Abyan Islamic Army, and they are also from the Arab Afghan who are resident in Yemen. They have been trained in a number of camps in Al-Jawf, Abyan and Mareb governorates.
The sources added that there are 20 persons of Arab Afghan and other Arab nationalities had left Yemen. There are also 200 persons who are preparing to leave to Chechnya.
The Russian sources mentioned that there a number of Yemenis were killed and injured in the battles which are happening there.
