Yemenia Airways transported 1 million passengers in 2004 [Archives:2005/827/Local News]

The Yemeni Airways confirmed in a statement issued Tuesday March 22 that it transported some one million passengers during the previous year 2004.
The statement said this figure is a great success for the Yemeni Airlines which has been able to improve its transportation pace through several well-studied programs and plans covering technical and administrative aspects.
“It has adopted a policy of modernization by introducing new technologies, automation, organization of administration and setting up work structures keeping up with the recent international developments.”
The introduced improvements are manifested in the modernization in the work systems, improvement of services offered to passengers, promotion of workers' abilities technically and vocationally as well as the broadening of air transportation coverage, modernization of the fleet and showing interest in investment projects.
The Yemenia's plans include completion of the introduction of the following systems: E-Ticketing, Internet Booking Engine, and ATP2.
