Yemen needs more investment into its natural resources.
That was one of the conclusions at a symposium held in Doha, Qatar, April 21 and 22.
Qatar is to build a better partnership with Yemen for investing oil in the two countries as well as helping Yemen explore to find more oil, gas and minerals.
Participants in the symposium from Yemen and Qatar reviewed the investment opportunities in the two countries in this field.
The working papers presented to the symposium stressed the importance of investing in the field of extracting rocks for building and decoration purposes, and the oil industry.
The symposium noted that Yemens geological formations contain plenty of minerals, oil and gas, which all need investment.
Participants outlined policies with the view of building investment partnerships by making the best use of the available systems and regulations in the two countries.
Films, geological maps and photos where used to showing potential investment opportunities in Yemen.
Gold, iron and copper are also available in good quantities in Yemen according to the studies presented.
