YJS condemns verdict against Allooni [Archives:2005/882/Front Page]

SANA'A- Oct. 1- In a statement distributed on the first of October, the Yemeni Journalists Syndicate (YJS) condemned the verdict issued against Mr. Taisir Allooni, a prominent correspondent of al-Jazeerah Space Television.
A Spanish court sentenced Allooni to seven years in jail.
The YJS stated: “the oppressive ruling that constitute a flagrant violation against the freedoms of expression and human rights contradicts the Spanish claims of respecting human rights.
The YJS appealed to all human rights organizations all over the world
