The paper published a survey over the fuel prices adjustments in which officials and experts emphasized that prices adjustments were imperative to save the economy from an overall collapse.

Dr.Khalid Sheikh minister of Trade said” Unless the government carried out the recent measures, YR was due to lost its value”. For his part Dr. Abdullah Al-Mekhlafi, deputy minister of finance ministry stated that ” Subsidies didn't use to reach to the targeted people”. Minister of Transport, Eng. Omar Al-Amoudi indicated that “Subsidies were factors conducive to smuggling”.
