30th of November Celebrations  [Archives:1997/48/Local News]

President Ali Abdullah Saleh and a large group of senior officials have gone south to celebrate the 30th of November, the anniversary of independence of the southern part of the country, and the signing of the Unity Agreement. The group stopped in Ibb on the 29th where they will participate in a major one-day event, and moved on to Aden the 30th.  The President will remain in Aden for a while, within the context of implementing the concept of Aden as the winter capital of the nation. The Government has also made the trek south and is expected to hold several cabinet meetings there.  On the occasion, the President will address the grievances of the city and is expected to push project implementation.
