The Sanaa-based Yemeni-German Friendship Association presented an honorary membership to the chargé d’ affairs of the German Embassy in Sanaa, Mr. Matthias Kiesler. The membership was presented as token of appreciation of Mr. Kiesler’s efforts in consolidating and promoting Yemeni-German friendships. The membership was presented in a reception attended by several diplomats along with members of the Yemeni-German friendship association at Mr. Kiesler’s house on 16 July. The ceremony included speeches by the chairman of the association and statements by Mr. Kiesler and his wife, Dr. Brigitte Kiesler.
