A clarification about Banaadiris [Archives:2004/790/Letters to the Editor]

I just would like to convey a note about Banaadiris. Historically the Kushites and Oromos who were originally from South Ethiopia, settled in the North-East of Somalia, whilst the Banaadiris settled along the coast of Somalia.
These ethnic groups, including the Banaadiris were all settlers. None of them “belonged” to Somalia (today's name). So if you suggest that the Banaadiris should go back to Yemen; likewise the Kushites should return to Ethiopia.
