Article Summary: Abducted German Released A German engineer was released on Thursday January 22nd after 3 days in captivity following successful mediation efforts by tribal elders and other prominent figures. A Ministry of Interior source stated that the German, did not reveal his name, was released unharmed and in good health by the Dhabian tribe in return for promises of implementing public-works projects in the tribe’s region. On another level, the Governor of Abyan has gone on Wednesday to Al-Assal tribe to mediate for the release of a kidnapped Chinese citizen.
