The lover shot the husband in the head. The two murderers then stabbed the husband several times, burned his body, and placed in a wooden box. The wife was seen by a witness dragging the wooden box and throwing it in a flood water channel. Being the first of its kind, the crime has led to widespread condemnation in Taiz.
