Columnist Dr Abdulaziz al-Maqaleh says in his article in this season of the deluge of aggression against whatever is Arab and dealing almost deadly blows to the remaining dreams of the Arab nation in restoring what she has lost of her usurped land the rational people of the sons of this nation have to reconsider their domestic and external stands far away from regional or personal sensitivities. They have to look at all that is happening through a comprehensive pan-Arab perspective, proceeding from the the total bankruptcy in which regionalism has fallen and the disappointment in all regional projects that do not take into account the political and economic concerns of Arab people in the entire Arab world.
One of the issues that should be reconsidered is the proposal raised in the seventies on considering the Palestine Liberation Organisation the legitimate and sole representative of the Palestinian people. The aim is not to strip the PLO of its right as the sole representative and what has that realized of an international recognition but rather to prove it is the issue of all Arabs because of its intermixing with all of their situations and issues to an extent no part of the Arab world can avoid its responsibility or claim the issue does not affect it or put pressure on its situations.
