Columnist Dr. Abdulaziz al-Maqaleh has mentioned in his article that the satellite media have become forming a real danger to humanity under the imperialist principles of globalization and its inhuman goals. The satellite media are the spearhead of the existing cultural invasion intended to be expanded in the future. We have become convinced that there is an organized media invasion of the Arab land aimed at changing its sons into dolls moving without any consciousness or herd of sheep moving without having any opinion in any thing.
The strange thing is that this horrible invasion is in many cases wearing Arab attire and speaks Arab words, deluding the naive and simple people that it speaks in their name and defends their dreams in freedom, democracy and human rights. It is this organized invasion that aims at creating a generation with deformed identity thinking for enemies of its nation and presents to others what those enemies were hoping to do.
The great problem in this regard is not in this fierce media attack but rather in the inability of more than 150 Arab satellite channels to face this media attacks targeting the youth segment via the song, the picture and misleading word. What helps this misleading media to realize its goals is the absence of the unified Arab media project and the Arab serious satellite channels' arrogance that prevents them from extending bridges between them and the youths.
To stand up to this organized media invasion requires high degree of consciousness of he goals of the invasion and also a new language exposing the kind of poison it is using. Before confronting this media invasion we have to introduce social and cultural reforms interested in the content before the form and to pay attention to the marginalized segments of the people that form the majority in the Arab society.
