Columnist Zaid al-Shami says in an article one of the motives of eruption of the revolution in Yemen was to control and end disease. But now after forty years since the beginning of the revolution we are still living a state of big shortcomings in health services and the patients are on the increase and many cases of patients require to travel abroad for treatment. Until now we do not find the government paying attention or commitment towards thousands of patients carrying medical reports and need to travel abroad for treatment, most of them are from the poor segment of the people. I do not want in this respect to pinpoint the government's dereliction as much as confirming the importance of studying the issue of the citizen's medication, providing medical care for him and founding an effective system for health security.
It goes without saying that the state rendering health care for its citizens is a duty and favour. the constitution has guaranteed the right of health care for the citizen If the government would not carry out this duty would else do it?It is the government's duty.
