Columnist Zaid al-Shami says in his article we hear many queries on the local, or regional or international reality, not for the purpose of influencing it or direct it but rather to know it and then to adapt ourselves to its consequences and to concede what it would bring forth. This behaviour has led us to a stage of weakness and deterioration.
Around us there are live and active peoples who are not lazy or dillydallying and would not give in to their reality but rather work for changing it for the better and are keen to have a name and status among others. The question is why we as Arabs and Muslims lagging behind do and wait the act and work done by others? Why do we accept the other's aggression and conspiracies, as if our task is stopped at receiving the blows and get adapted to the events? If we do not get ourselves liberated and unleash our potentials and energies we would remain in this situation, we have then to get rid of the complex of surrender to get out of weakness and stationary and make our reality.
