Seera Court Reviews Statement
The Seera Primary Courts is continuing its public sessions of the case 243 concerning the suspects in the Aden bomb explosions during last July and October. One of the suspects, Ahmed Ba-Zaraa who is an engineer at TeleYemen, indicated that his relationship with the other suspects is totally non-political.
The defendant’s lawyer said that Ba-Zaraa’s confessions were elicited under duress. Following much heated debate between the defense counsel and the prosecutor, the court decided to review Ba-Zaraa’s statement, who alleged that he was subjected to daily torture sessions lasting 5 to 7 hours.
