Fourth Dose is Coming Up
The World Bank delegation currently visiting Yemen is reviewing with the relevant Yemeni official bodies what has been achieved so far in the economic reform program in relation to the assistance provided by donor countries. Preparation are underway to institute the “fourth dose” of economic reform.
Further austerity measures and the total lifting of government subsidies of essential commodities are now recommended by the World Bank. In return, the Yemeni government is promised more aid and assistance for the present five-year plan, which requires $1.2 to $1.4 billion dollars.
