AL-Shura Council calls for honesty In the census, together [Archives:2004/800/Community]

Al-Shura Council recently held its fifth meeting devoted to issue of Yemen's census.
The meeting was headed by Mr. Abdualaziz Abdualghani, the head of Al-Shura Council with attendance of Mr. Ahmed Sofan, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Planning and International Cooperation along with Dr. Amin Mohyedin, the head of central statistics organization.
The council's committee of public health and population presented a report, along with the above mentioned minisries, and the council came up with recommendations.
The council calls on all the people to positively respond to the census, so Yemen benefits.
The council also stressed the vital role that civil society organizations should play in actively participating in the census and make it successful.
It appealed to the media, political parties, and others to raise awareness of the census to build a better present and prosperous future.
