Columnist Sanad Abdulla Njad says in his article that there is no one political party on the Yemeni arena but has an office specialized in the masses affairs but almost all of them have changed into nominal bodies. The main concern of those bodies is to accommodate unemployment of some party leaders. The reality is simply that the future of any political party believing in the choice of democracy is conditioned to its relation with the masses and the electoral vote. It also depends on extent of the party's presence and ability to defend the actual issues of the masses. Naturally the slogan alone and electoral propaganda campaigns are not sufficient for gaining trust of the people and their votes.
Among the aspects of social life that are worthy of being given the attention of the opposition political parties and organizations, for instance, are:
-the trend for activating the existing unionist and professional establishments and federations towards serving the goals of their founding. And also the goal is to activate concern of these organizations about the public affairs, particularly towards the issues that touch directly the majority of the society.
-the establishment of new forms of committee in defense of rights of certain groups such as the unemployed, especially university graduates. The other example is defending the rights of prisoners and detainees with regard to their humanitarian and legal rights and another for defending the rights of the families of martyrs and war disabled. There are also the issues related to poor families and the government assistance spent for them as well as those of special needs.
All of those are among the most dangerous seminaries of corruption in addition to the political investment of this money through the way of expending it.
– the founding of cooperative unions and federations of service and development aims in the rural areas and the poor residential quarters and their fixing them as alternative of the existing official forms.
-issuing newspapers and information publications concerned with social affairs.
