Forgers Arrested
By Hussain Al-Saqqaf
Security forces in Zanzibar, Abyan, announced the arrest of two men in their early thirties accused of forging official seals, national service books, secondary-school certificates and title deeds of plots of land in the former Fadhli sultanate.
Police suspicion was aroused when one of the men sold plots of land worth YR 3 million by using counterfeit title deeds stamped with forged rubber stamps. Some influential figures are trying to divert attention from the case.
