1- Bodyguards of the YSP secretary-general were briefly detained and had their weapons confiscated in Sanaa, despite having official firearms licenses.

Student Arrested
A student of engineering in Sanaa University is being detained by the Political Security Office (PSO) since the beginning of this week. The PSO is also questioning a number of students for distributing a bulletin published by the students sector of the Yemeni Socialist Party at the Law College. There is now stronger PSO presence in all University of Sanaa colleges.
Student leader conducted an emergency meeting, and issued a statement calling for the release of the student and warning the authorities of the ‘barbaric acts of the PSO.’
