Developmental projects financed by international organizations present a new target. An army colonel had taken over the agricultural cooperative building in Taban, Lahaj, a project funded by the World Bank and supervised by the IFAD in 1988. The colonel later sold the building for YR 500,000, after leading the authorities into believing that the building was owned by the Socialist Party. The Directorate of Agriculture in Lahaj has kept silent. Does the World Bank and its experts know about this?
