2- Armed confrontations continue in a number of governorates: Two bombs exploded and a military position was attacked with a missile in Dhali’, Lahaj; and a missile attack on the Political Security offices, prosecutor office and communications center in Jaar. A wide crackdown followed by the security and army.
3- Al-Thawri and two of its journalists will appear before court because of articles critical of the government.

Antique Stolen
Police sources in Zaidiya, Hodeida have disclosed the theft of a precious stone from the shrine of a local pious man. A dustman discovered the disappearance of the of $1 million stone, on which was written in gold a short biography of the holy man who lived in the area 650 years ago.
Police indicated that the manner of the theft points to professional burglars. Eyewitness accounts in the area say that a Peugeot saloon car and a Toyota pickup were seen several times during the few days preceding the theft. Several foreigners and Yemenis, including two women were in the vehicles.
