The newspaper's political editor says in his article that no one can say that what has been mentioned in the speech of the Malaysian prime minister Mahathir Mohammed at the latest Islamic summit conference it has surprised people because the man is well-known of his frankness. The has proved during his ruling tenure in his country that he is a man firm in his stand and opinion and a daring worldly wisdom very rare to be found with others in such a time characterized by the American aggression and terrorism.
Mr Mhathir Mohammed has led his country towards an economic and scientific advancement and above all no one could dictate on him any stance contradicting the fully independent policy of his country which preserving and keeping its sovereignty right against any foreign interference. The man did not surprise anyone even the west by his stand which launched against him a campaign of criticisms in favour of the Jewish Zionism that is controlling destiny of its leaders and aspects of its life. Such a control has made the west lose the objectivity of its stances and the balance between its relations and interests. The best proof of that is what is going on in Palestine for more than half a century because Zionism does not want a solution for that and also what is gong on Iraq and what is going on against Syria starting from the Zionist aggression on a camp in Damascus through the American veto to the American law on punishing Syria and the countdown for launching an all-out war against Syria.
Although what has bee mentioned in Mr Mohammed's speech was characterized with utter right and justice and commitment to historical objectivity he was not spared from attacking him and exposure to western threat. On the other hand the Islamic conference did not issue any stand defending Syria against any aggression. This stand has made the west and America be emboldened on Islam and the Muslims and encouraged and pushed them to launch aggression on them, violating their freedom and sovereignty.
