Columnist Sameer Mohammed Abdulhaq wrote an article saying the great rise of the rate population growth in Yemen amounting to 3.5% a year represents a number one impedance of comprehensive development plans followed in the country as it is absorbing the limited economic resources. It raises the proportion of consumption in economy and limits the capability of saving. It would compel the society to steer the greater proportion of public spending on operating and maintaining the essential structures and necessary public utilities for the life of population and their economic and social activity.
