The bloody confrontations between the government troops and Al-Houthi supporters have extended to the governorates of Amran and Hajja over the past few days, the weekly paper reported. It added that many people were killed and others injured in ambushes and explosives in both governorates.
According to the newspaper's sources, the government troops seized a vehicle loaded with arms driving toward Sa'ada after fierce clashes that killed two people and injured a third one, who were aboard the car. Many sheikhs and tribal leaders set up checkpoints to search all the cars driving toward Sa'ada.
The weekly mentioned that the army was engaged in fierce clashes with Al-Houthi loyalists, who were positioned at Jabal Sha'lel in Sa'ada governorate, last week. The clashes killed up to 7 people on both sides and injured dozens.
