Vote Rigging in Parliament
A number of MPs have demanded an immediate investigation into allegations of vote rigging made by a particular MP during a vote on a presidential decree concerning customs tariffs.
Ahmed Al-Kibsi, MP, discovered that another MP voted in his place in favor of the decree, which was passed with 156 votes (out of 301). It transpired later that the MP in question voted in place of 10 other MPs. A number of journalists attending that sessions saw the culprit MP moving from one seat to another!
