Palestinians Intimidated
A Palestinian source in Sanaa indicated that a Military Police force went into the quarter allocated for Palestinian families at the Hadda residential town, firing in the air. The caretaker was arrested. Two officials of the Palestinian Embassy were beaten when they tried to intervene to calm the situation.
It was pointed out that the Military Police has been regularly doing this sort of action in attempt to evict the Palestinians and give the houses to Yemenis. The housing units were given to the Palestinians by the President when they were kicked out of Lebanon in 1982. Fifty families were not allowed to go enter the West Bank following the peace accord.
