European Film Festival 2003 launched [Archives:2003/674/Local News]

Sanaa, Oct 5 – Under auspices of the Minister of Culture Mr. Khalid Abduallah al-Rowishan the seventh European Film Festival has started on October 5th and will continue until October 13th at the Yemeni Cultural Center in Sana'a.
The opening ceremony that took place on Sunday started with the Italian film “The Son's room”. This event is being organized by a committee representing the British Council, French Cultural Central, German House, German, Netherlands, Italian, Czech and Turkish embassies and is arranged in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture.
The event will include screenings of films from Italy, the Netherlands, Germany, Czech Republic, United Kingdom, France, and Turkey in the days from 5 to 13 Oct. respectively.
