A number of Yemeni medical doctors have confirmed that the increase in death cases in Yemen due to cancer is, among other reasons, attributed to eating fruits saturated with carbon.
Doctors warned against eating fruits ripened by using carbon such as banana and mango. Fruit dealers usually use the carbon in this way to get speedy money gains.
The doctors have requested the Yemeni government to quickly act to ward off the danger and punish those responsible for it. ”The government must translate its words into deeds and shoulder the responsibility of protecting the citizens’ health.”, the doctors added.
