Health Minister Returns [Archives:1998/20/Local News]

The Minister of Health, Dr. Abdullah A. Nasher returned to Yemen after attending a meeting marking the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the WHO in Geneva. In the meetings, Yemen was elected a member of the WHO Executive Council for the next three years.
The Minister cited malaria and maternal and infant mortality as still prevalent in Yemen despite the many advances achieved by the health-care system in the country.
