In Aden: President Launches Campaign Against Corruption [Archives:2002/05/Local News]

Several enclosures were demolished in Crater in Aden last Saturday. They all were not permitted and some of them were built randomly.
A reliable source told the Yemen Times that the destruction of enclosures were carried out after the president had given his orders to demolish enclosures that had been built randomly along Crater, Khormakser, and Abyan. During his visit to Aden, president Saleh toured a number of vital military and civil institutions in the governorate. He also discussed with the US envoy the suitable means to eradicate terrorism and Yemen’s role in this respect. The two sides discussed the main issues with relation to the USS Cole bombing incident on October 2000 in Aden in which 17 Americans were killed.
