Meeting on neglected agricultural crops [Archives:2004/753/Local News]

The Republic of Yemen hosts during the period of July 8-13 the annual meeting of the countries producing the least consumed agricultural crops.
Dr. Ismail Muhrum, president of the Agricultural Research Authority, said that the participants would discuss what had been accomplished and future plans. He also said that the meetings aimed at counting the types of plants least planted in order to seek the expansion the of cultivation of them throughout the member countries.
The participant countries were Yemen, Egypt, Brazil, Peru, Nepal, and India in addition to the European International Genetic Center, IFAD.
