Muslims voted for Bush too [Archives:2005/827/Letters to the Editor]

In response to your letter, I voted for Bush. Not because of the choices that were made to go into Iraq, not because we “enjoy” watching Muslim Men being humiliated, but because of one simple thing. He is a man who does what he says, and says what he does. No he is not perfect, he is human, and he will make mistakes.

Unfortunately, it is at the expense of people's lives that we learn from our mistakes. I am not making excuses nor do I defend what is taking place, but when you blame a “majority” of the US people, I find that offensive. In all honesty, with the vast majority of Muslim people in our country I don't believe President Bush could have been re-elected without the votes of these people too.
