Note about toilets in Yemen [Archives:2003/663/Letters to the Editor]

I have recently paid a visit to the Republic of Yemen. On arrival at Sanaa international airport, it was the time of Fajr (dawn) Prayer. I found out that the place for taking ablution is inside the toilet and improper for any women to prepare for prayers, especially as it was shared with men.
On my way to Seiyun, 9 hours journey by bus, I couldn't find a proper toilet at all, let alone a separate one for women. This is a bit uncivilized. I hope the authority do something about it.
