Main Headlines 
– Planning and Development Minister Ahmed Mohammed Soufan has said that the government was preparing to invest in the Yemeni islands in the Red Sea as well as those in the Arabian Sea. 
– The government ban on public employment in the country has singled out the Ministry of Education from that decision in view of the dire need for teachers in a number of specialties. 
– Preparations are under way for the sixth Yemeni-Algerian committee session, according to the Algerian Ambassador to Sanaa, who lauded the two Arab countries’ relations, describing them as “distinctive”. 
– Under the auspices of President Ali Abdullah Saleh, 60 Arab academicians and researchers are to meet in Sanaa this week to discuss Geography curricula in the Arab Nation and future challenges.
