85 engineer graduates launch a strike- 
On Saturday 31st July 99, more than 85 engineer graduates from the Faculty of Petroleum Engineering Colleges launched a strike in front of the presidential Office gate. They demand that the President instruct the relevant parties to reasign them to different departments of the Ministry of Oil, after they have been delegated to the Ministry of Education for one year. One striker was detained for three hours by the police, and after his release, the security police demanded that the strike be stopped or be taken to jail.
