The newspaper editorial has said that in a second defeat for the US in one week the UN general assembly has approved a resolution stipulating non-permission of imposing forceful economic sanctions on peoples and nations. The voting was conducted by approval of 136 members against 2, the USs and Israels, and absence of ten members from the meeting.
That resolution came in the wake of the general assemblys condemnation of the oppressive practices by the Zionists in the occupied Arab territories in Palestine. The editorial maintains that only the United States adopts such inhumane sanctions on nations as a basic phenomenon of its policy in dealing with nations all over the world, in service of its illegitimate interests and ambitions in the world.
