The story of Ayatollah Muhammad Bakr al-Hakim returning to Iraq has had little coverage in the US. It seems to me that this is a very significant event and could cause big problems for the US administration. How significant is it? Is the idea of a powerful Muslim leader emerging in Iraq the “worse case scenario” for Mr. Bush? I hope I could find some input on this issue by the editor and Mr. Hassan Al-Haifi.
