Six people were killed and 16 injured in a clash between two Kuhlaan and Al-Niftah tribes in the governorate of Hajjah, 127 km away from Sana’a.
Reliable sources have informed the Yemen Times that the clash resulted from a dispute over a piece of land, adding that several sorts of weapons are being used in that conflict which has not yet stopped. The sources added that the police could not interfere and stop the conflict, which started last Wednesday. Tribal clashes, which erupt from time to time, claim the lives of scores of people in Yemen. Such disputes turn into tribal retaliations that can last for a long time. As of yet, the Yemeni authorities have been unable to keep such problems under control.
