Solidarity festival to support Iraq, Palestine, & Morocco [Archives:2002/32/Local News]

Organized by the Arab League Colleagues Union, participants at a solidarity festival for Palestine and Iraq have declared their absolute support for the Palestinian issue, and condemned the US threat against Iraq and supported Morocco concerning the disputes with Spain.
The solidarity festival was held on July 30 at Aden University amid the presence of the Aden Governor, Taha Ahmed Ghanem.
In his speech, the Governor of Aden spoke highly of Yemens stance towards the people in Palestine. He demanded the international community to put an end to the Israeli aggression against the defenseless Palestinians. Telegraphs were later sent to President Ali Abdullah Saleh, the Secretary General of the Arab League and the Moroccan King.
The festival was attended by Abdulkareem Shaef, the Secretary General of the Local Council in Aden Governorate, Derhem Abduh Noaman, the Chairman of the Aden Free Zone, Naser Ali Naser the Vice Rector of Aden University, and teaching staff of the university.
