Son of former government official seeks asylum [Archives:2005/855/Local News]

SANA'A- News shown in different websites over the last few days confirmed that A'ad Mohammad Ali Haitham, son of the former Yemeni Prime Minister and a member of the People's General Congress Permanent Committee made a bid for political asylum in Canada, the country he visited recently.

According to the website news, Aa'd's applying for political asylum was due to the bad situations experienced by locals of southern governorates since 1994 war.

A'ad Haitham sought political asylum after several prominent Yemeni personalities did the same over the last few years, most of whom are from the southern governorates, due to their economic situations.
