Sudanese Foreign Ministry Statement regarding Eritrea Accusations [Archives:2004/720/Local News]
The Embassy of the Republic of Sudan in Sana'a distributed last week a statement in which it replied to the accusations of Eritrea. Eritrea has accused Sudan of standing behind the latest explosions, which took place at a hotel in the border city Tessne, leading to the deaths of several children, women and elderly residents.
The statement expressed the sorrow of the Sudanese Government at the harm and damage inflicted on some Eritrea citizens. The statement concluded by saying, “The Sudanese Government avails this regrettable incident to once again express its condemnation of all forms of terrorism carried out through the borders with Eritrea, and sends its condolences to the families of victims and the brotherly Eritrean people”.
