“The Physician” website launched [Archives:2004/765/Local News]

To catch up with modern technological developments, in accordance with the directives of the political leadership (as represented by HE Ali Abdullah Saleh), on Monday August 16th Al-Kamal Establishment for Intellectual Development, launched its medical website www.thephysician.net.
Dr. Ibtihaj Al-Kamal, president of the establishment, said she hoped the website and its publications (The Physician, The Physician and the People) would be a useful reference for specialists, to keep them abreast of the latest information and medical research for free.
The website provides a service of registering doctors names to facilitate the exchanging of opinions amongst themselves and advertisements of their medical services, establishments or companies. They would be able to keep in touch with fellow doctors around the world. The website is also going to publish local doctors' research findings and cases of clinical interest.
The website will be accessible to people who want to ask questions about illnesses, and there will be a corpus of simple medical articles and general advice for the laymen. All questions will be answered by specialized physicians.
