The only disadvantage for being any emerging democracy is to have too much freedom, including the freedom of speech, freedom of press and many more and most of all the “freedom of illegal acts” by government officials and other individuals, which motivates the foreigners also to do illegal things like dealing with prohibited drugs, wines, liquors, narcotics and marijuana.
There are Asian and other foreign nationals in our country illegally buying these items, especially liquors and marijuana. I am sure that this is being done with the blessing of high-ranking officials.
