June 17, Maqbanah province, Taiz- A sixteen year old girl named Mofedah Abdulwahab Rasam swallowed a fatal quantity of rat poison. It is believed that she felt unable to cope with the difficulty of life and the poor and miserable conditions she was living in.
In a second fatal incident, a 35 year old woman Arwa Ahmed Al-Shamouli was killed in an accidental shooting. The shooting is believed to have been a consequence of her relative, Nabil Abdulraheem Al-Shamouli handling his machine gun, resulting in an accidental discharge.
