Training course on bilharzia disease [Archives:2002/44/Local News]

A training course for fighting bilharzia, organized by Yemen’s national program for fighting bilharzia, concluded Oct. 21 in the health institute of Gea’ar, Ibian.
The four-day course was held in cooperation with the World Health Organization (WHO) and gathered 14 doctors from the governorates of Taiz, Dale’a, Hadramout, Lahj, and Abyan.
Participants receive lectures and information on Bilharzia and ways of fighting it. Abdullah Ahmed Luqman, deputy minister of Ibian, confirmed the importance of holding such training courses to fight this dangerous disease.
