I think US Marines will have to leave Iraq sooner or later, as with each passing day the casualties are forcing them to change their mind against the vested interest of their stubborn president.
President Bush is publicly heard asserting that despite all hardships he would not expel his troops from Iraq, but perhaps he has not asked individually from each and every soldier what they are undergoing. On Sunday the shoulder-fired missile resulting into killing of 15 Gls and injuring of 21 soldiers was declared to be one of the deadliest attacks since the start of war. These are factors which are compelling them to leave Iraq as soon as possible.
Although they stayed in Vietnam for a good time, in Iraq they would hardly stay for a year or so, as the attacks on them are increasing day by day. Maybe the president does not feel their sufferings, but at least the parents of the soldiers do, and they (parents) would be ultimately forced to come out on roads to protest the killing of their sons and brothers in Iraq.
